Chinelo Igwe is a legal practitioner who is currently engaged in Corporate/ Commercial law practice with YBA and Co. Solicitors, a leading law firm in its own rights in Lekki, Lagos. She has a passion for the promotion of Human rights and good governance which inspired her decision to study law and subsequently volunteer to several causes which protect and develop human rights, including the United Nations Volunteer Program.
She is also intrigued by fintech and has interest in assisting start-ups navigate the novel regulatory terrain in Nigeria. Hence, she is a member of the Nigerian Lawyers Fintech group of the Nigeria Bar Association and actively participates in the trainings organized on that platform and by X-Academy (the training hub at the Nigerian Stock Exchange).
She is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Nigeria, NBA Section on Business law and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Nigeria branch.
Above all, she likes to think of herself as an upbeat lawyer who attempts to balance the established, traditional principles of legal practice with the evolving realities as a result of technology invasion, to put forth quality and impeccable services to clientele, on an all-encompassing front.
